| Writing a great song is easy. The individual parts are great,
these parts fit cohesively into the song, this song is performed
a certain way that the brilliant parts and their inspired
assembly is intact. But great recordings have another element,
which as it turns out, is virtually ineffable. It’s
the heart, honesty, natural candor, sonic feel, a recording
setting that you picture and maybe even hear. It’s what
makes the recordings compelling—the “ghost track,”
if you want. Trances Arc writes great songs, and people have
been talking about the band’s live shows since its formation.
More impressive, Trances Arc has achieved one of the most
undeniable “ghost tracks” in ages on its latest
full-length, XOXOX. |

| There aren’t many rock bands on this planet that wouldn’t
like to be regarded as unique. Of course, in these times of
nostalgia and endlessly recycled ideas, very few actually
deserve that description. Finland’s Apocalyptica deserve
it more than most. Utterly original in every respect, these
classically-trained merchants of genre-shattering metal sound
quite unlike anything or anyone else in musical history. |

| LOMF is a totally original brand of music, not content to
sit in any one category. Unique Musicianship is the root of
all solutions that pose the listeners problems. Jon Brody
impresses with powerfully complicated drumbeats, played in
timings few would attempt. His splicing of complex structures
with intricate rolls are capable of hypnotism. Meanwhile in
the laboratory of Odie Lallo, Twisted heavy psychedelic riffs
are flowing from his effects pedals, sounding like a maniacal
science experiment of tones. An unconventional bass playing
style may amaze or confuse, but Combined with Brody, makes
up the body of a monster. Now complete with Ryan Lynch’s
mischievous laptop, creating an unorthodox presence of sounds,
samples, and textures to complement the rhythmical choppiness
and brain twisting zigzagedness. Like a bolt of lightning,
he raises this monster to feed on the minds of an unsuspecting
audience. |

Like a Derringer blast to the back of your head John Wilkes
Booth's brand of "Dirt Rock" will knock you out
of your theater seat. Despite originating from Long Island
New York, an area long synonymous with Billy Joel, tribute
bands, emo or bad metal, John Wilkes Booth has become the
antithesis to these things. JWB is the melting pot for separate
personalities to come together and make one kick ass stew
of dirty rock power. Hoping to bring their sound out of the
local area and to the people of this great country JWB plans
on booking shows nation wide. Keep your eyes and ears on John
Wilkes Booth... their power is infecting.
John Wilkes Booth has just completed their first full length
release Sic Semper Tyrannis. Booth fans, whose numbers are
ever increasing, have eagerly been awaiting the fulfillment
of promises for new tracks from the latest recording sessions.
They will not be disappointed. Since the formation of the
band in 2005, the band has consistently recorded and played
live shows while continually escalating their fan base. |
